Job Description

A global automation corporation is looking for a driven candidate for a Senior Sales Engineer (Automation) job for their team in Malaysia.

About The Senior Sales Engineer (Automation) Role

In this business critical role, you will be responsible or utilising your knowledge of robotics and automated materials handling equipment, understanding customer requirements, and proposing product solutions for our potential customers to secure new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing good relationship to the different levels of the customer together with the staff in Malaysia
  • Helping customers select appropriate robots and options to meet their specific application requirements
  • Facilitating introductions between end customers and partners
  • Tracking of opportunities via Salesforce CRM
  • Building long term customer relationships/account management
  • Contribute to lead generation through own initiatives and/or network
  • Reporting/forecasting sales opportunities
  • Representing the company at Trade show events/support Marketing initiatives
  • Covering sales for the central region and southern region

The successful Senior Sales Engineer (Automation) has prior experience in sales of industrial automation/factory automation solutions with a strong customer network.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/professional degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent
  • At least three years’ working experience specialising in automation engineering or in the related field is preferred
  • Relevant experience working with a complex automation solutions and products and has existing working relationships with end-users within Malaysia
