Job Description

An exciting Senior Area Specialist job has become available at a global multinational engineering and technology firm.

About The Senior Area Specialist Role

In this business critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the power tools products range via channel partner to ensure that all activities and plans are executed and implemented. You will also ensure that all sales targets are being achieved in the assigned sales territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers in your assigned area. Serve as the main point of contact for dealers, addressing their concerns, providing support, and ensuring their satisfaction with the company’s products and services
  • Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding the dealer network in the assigned area. Collaborate with dealers to develop and implement effective sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and incentive programmes to meet sales targets
  • Provide product training and support to dealers and their sales teams. Ensure that dealers have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s power tools, features, benefits, and applications. Address technical queries, demonstrate product usage, and assist with troubleshooting
  • Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities within the power tools industry. Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential gaps, opportunities, and threats. Share insights and recommendations with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies
  • Track and analyse sales performance of dealers in your area. Identify areas of improvement, address performance gaps, and provide guidance to dealers on enhancing their sales capabilities. Utilise sales data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and propose adjustments as needed
  • Work closely with dealers to manage their inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock availability and minimising excess inventory. Monitor demand patterns, sales forecasts, and market trends to assist dealers in optimising their inventory management practices

The successful Senior Area Specialist has key experience in managing channel partner responsibilities as well as the connection with the relevant segments.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or professional degree in a related discipline or equivalent with a minimum of three years’ experience in related fields
  • Highly-motivated, autonomous, excellent team player and innovative
  • Hands-on, detail/results-oriented, excellent problem solving and good organisational/planning skills having experience in handling channel partner within a industrial business
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels
