As a Data Governance and Quality Analyst you will be primarily responsible for identifying, detailing and building use case scenarios in our chosen Data Cataloguing tool (Collibra) which will be initiated through our roll out and implementation plan. There will also be on going enhancements to existing use cases, by revisiting data sources and systems we have already connected to. This is to ensure that the business and users of the tool have the support to realise the full potential of the benefits Collibra can bring for them through data governance, cataloguing and quality improvement of Johnson Matthey’s data.
Your responsibilities:

  • Validation of technical implementation / configuration of the requirements, including the associated metadata that is ingested as part of the implementation, and Create / configure views and diagram flows of metadata assets in Collibra
  • Ongoing Stewardship of the asset and community model and associated metadata assets and associated characteristics (attributes and relationships) in Collibra (including maintenance / coordination of cleanups)
  • Assist in the setup of Data Catalogue, propose usage of the AI / data classification feature in Collibra.
  • Provide training and walkthroughs (including relevant documentation) of how to use Collibra to users in both Data Governance and to the wider business.
  • Building and enhancing the meta model, setting up business glossaries with Collibra, designing custom assets and workflows with Collibra, knowledgeable of the Collibra operating model, including workflows, roles and responsibilities.
  • Identify requirements and use cases for Collibra solution in line with the governance roll out strategy and document requirements including translation / mapping into the Collibra solution.

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience of configuring and using Collibra as a DG tool
  • Knowledge of data structures and database fundamentals and cloud platform fundamentals (AWS, Azure)
  • Significant experience (5 or more years) of implementation, roll out and use of a Data Catalogue and Governance tool from both a technical and business perspective
  • Strong demonstratable roles working with data quality
  • Knowledge of Advanced Analytical tools (e.g. AWS Redshift / Tableau)
  • Experience in the chemical/manufacturing Industry
