Job Description

One of the nation’s leading GLC is seeking a COO. In this job, you will head their land development, infrastructure project management and oversee the property maintenance.

About The COO (Land Development Division) Role

In this position, you will front discussions with government bodies, authorities on new commercial investment projects, oversee infrastructure development projects and manage the maintenance/upkeep of the company’s properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the facilities management (M&E, C&S) of the companies’ properties which includes office buildings, retail outlets and infrastructure maintenance
  • Lead and spearhead the land development plans in line with the company’s development master plan
  • Provide other strategic direction on the allocation of development funds for various infrastructure, retrofitting, renovation and innovation projects
  • Manage the department’s annual business operating plan, which includes formulating and managing budget
  • Assess the principal risks of the division and deploy appropriate action plans to mitigate the risks
  • Maintain a positive and ethical work environment to motivate a diverse group of employees

To succeed in this COO (Land Development Division) role, you will need to have managed commercial properties investment portfolio successfully in a leadership capacity and able to come up with new ideas and solutions to grow the business within this sector.

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Business Management, Project Management or other relevant business field of study
  • Over 20 years of land development, infrastructure construction project management, property management or investment experience in commercial or mixed development projects
  • Presently in a leadership role (e.g. COO, General Manager or Project Director) from township development, commercial/industrial park development or REIT (property management) background
  • Extensive business and industry network in land development
  • Seasoned in fronting discussions with local town council, government ministries and government agencies
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, resilient in facing challenges and highly motivated
  • Influential and able to steer various groups towards a common goal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to engage well with stakeholders
  • This hiring will be on contract employment (renewal basis)
