Job Description

An international chemical manufacturing company is currently seeking a Business Demand Specialist. In this job, you oversee its demand planning and order processing for its domestic clientele.

About The Business Demand Specialist Role

In this role, you will be responsible for working alongside the sales team in understanding the demand forecast from clients and continuously improving the rolling demand forecast and flowing reports to the regional team for replenishment planning reasons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and facilitate the demand forecast including initiative pipeline and volume planning to ensure highest accuracy reporting to the regional team
  • Chair the demand and inventory review with the customer to provide reasonable forecasting to the supply chain team
  • Forecast and rationalise promotional plans with the regional sales team and customers to forecast demands and order timing and quantity split
  • Facilitate the 3P information flow to customers to allow forecasting accuracy from the client’s end
  • Propose continuous improvement activities to improve data analysis of SKU use on both internal and customer ends
  • Facilitate the implementation of new ordering system method by properly onboarding and training customers
  • Be the window personnel to track and improve OTIF, FCA and PIFOT through process improvement and closely collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong communication skills and a hands-on approach to ensure that each internal stakeholder is able to provide the proper level of service in a timely manner and trouble shooting any issues that may arise while maintaining effective communications with customers.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in commerce or any relevant industry
  • Five years of work experience in Supply Chain Planning and Order Management
  • Familiar with ERP/SAP and Excel
  • Proven track record in managing various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently whilst still being a team player
